It fits when

What an explainer video is for

An explainer answers one question: how does this work? It takes the viewer through your product in a few steps, from the problem they have to the result they get, and shows each step happening in the interface. Done well, it replaces a paragraph of homepage copy and the first ten minutes of a sales call.

Most SaaS explainers are made one of two ways: as character animation, or from the product itself. We make the second kind. We rebuild your real screens in motion, so the film looks like your product and stays sharp at every size. Our guide to the difference between a product video, a demo and an explainer covers when each one fits.

How long it should be

Short is usually better. A 20 to 30 second explainer can show three steps clearly and suits a homepage, where people decide quickly whether to keep watching. A 60 to 90 second explainer has room for more detail and suits sales emails and onboarding, where the viewer has already chosen to learn. Our guide on how long a product video should be goes further.

How it works

  1. Brief. Send your product link, who it is for and the steps that matter. Screenshots or a screen recording help if it is behind a login.
  2. Storyboard. A one-page plan with each step, the words on screen and the voiceover. It is free, and you approve it or ask for changes.
  3. Preview. A private, watermarked preview of the film, ready the day after you approve for the 30 second version.
  4. Payment and files. When you are happy, you pay by bank transfer and we send every format.

What it costs

Our prices are fixed and listed above, so there is no quote to wait for. If you are comparing studios, our guide on how much an explainer video costs explains how per-minute and fixed pricing differ, and the video cost calculator compares making it yourself, a freelancer and an agency with your own numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Do you make animated explainer videos with characters?

No. We make explainers from your real product: your interface, your colours and your words, rebuilt in motion. If you need character animation or live action, a different kind of studio will suit you better.

How long does a SaaS explainer video take?

For a 20 to 30 second explainer, the preview is ready the day after you approve the storyboard. A 60 second version in Launch + Ads takes up to 48 hours after approval.

Can you make an explainer for a product behind a login?

Yes. Send screenshots, a short screen recording or a demo account. We rebuild those screens in motion, so private data only appears if you want it to.

Do I need a script before I order?

No. A short brief is enough. We write the steps, the on-screen words and the voiceover in the storyboard, and you change anything before the film is made.
