Short answer

Enter your product, who it is for, the problem, the steps of one workflow, the result and your call to action. The generator arranges them into a hook, the product, each step, the result and a closing call to action, times every scene at a calm 150 words a minute and checks the total against your target length.

Most demo videos go wrong before anyone presses record. They try to show every feature, start with a logo instead of the problem, or run twice as long as anyone will watch. A script fixes all three, and it takes ten minutes once you know the shape.

This generator gives you that shape. It follows the structure we use for product demos: open on the problem, introduce the product, walk through one workflow step by step, show the result and end with one clear next step. You type the facts, and it writes the scenes with timings.

Why this structure works

Each scene has one job. The hook names the problem so the right viewers keep watching. The product scene says what it is and who it is for in one line. The steps show the workflow in the order a new user does it, one action per scene, which is easy to follow and easy to record. The result shows the payoff on screen, and the call to action gives one next step instead of three.

Timings come from the words. At a calm 150 words a minute, a ten-word line takes about four seconds, and each scene gets a short pause so the viewer can see the click land. If the total runs long, cut a step rather than speeding up the voice.

Make it yours

The generator writes plain, safe lines. Read them aloud and change any that do not sound like you. Replace general words with your product's real names for things, keep each step to a single action, and use a real number in the result only if it is true. Then check the length with the voiceover length checker once you have edited it.

Common demo script mistakes

From script to video

Our guide on how to make a product demo video covers recording, editing and exporting step by step. When the voiceover is final, the SRT subtitle maker turns it into a caption file. How to use it

  1. Describe the product. Type the product name and who it is for, then the problem in one sentence, the way a customer would say it.
  2. List the workflow. Write the steps of one workflow, one per line. Three to six steps work best. Add a dash and why the step matters for a fuller script.
  3. Add the result and next step. Say what the viewer ends up with, then the one thing they should do next, and pick a target length.
  4. Read and refine. Read the script aloud, edit any line, then copy it, download it or print it.

Frequently asked questions

What should a product demo video script include?

A hook that names the problem, one line on what the product is and who it is for, each step of one workflow, the result on screen and one call to action. Write what is on screen and what the voice says for every scene.

How many words is a 60 second demo script?

About 150 words at a calm pace, a little less if you leave pauses for clicks to land. A 90 second demo is about 200 to 225 words. The generator counts the words and estimates the length as you type.

Does this tool use AI?

No. It arranges your own answers into a proven structure and times each scene from its word count. Nothing you type leaves your browser, so it is safe to use with unreleased features.

Can I use the script with a studio?

Yes. Paste it into a brief as a starting point. A good studio will tighten the lines and plan the visuals, but a clear script makes the first storyboard much closer to what you want.
